Telephone Scams
Telephone scams are continuously on the rise, but there are a number of things that you can do to help stay ahead of the scammers. Please read the following to know what to do, and what not to do, if you ever receive a suspicious telephone call that asks you for your financial information:
Some Things To Remember
1) Investors Community Bank WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR SENSITIVE, PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE, THE INTERNET OR THROUGH E-MAIL.
2) Investors Community Bank does not have an automated telephone service so if you receive any calls where there is an automated attendant, immediately hang up.
3) Caller ID is a very useful feature, but the number that shows up can be easily Spoofed, or made to look like it is coming from somewhere else. Something that may seem like it is coming from a legitimate source may well be from somewhere else. Please be very careful when relying on Caller ID.
This is similar to the e-mail Phishing scams but now takes a twist with the use of the telephone. PLEASE, DO NOT GIVE OUT THIS INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. Investors Community Bank will never call you over the phone and request this information.
If you receive any requests for this information, and are unsure whether or not it is legitimate, please call Investors Community Bank to verify you have received official Bank business.
